Rose Wohlgemuth, RN
Lead RN
I was raised in Homer and spent about 10 years away living in California and Colorado before returningto my hometown. I began my medical career at KBFPC as a clinic assistant and joined KOMD in 2019 where I now work as a registered nurse and help care for all our amazing patients.
I feel strongly that every person should receive evidence-based, compassionate, and quality reproductive health care throughout their lifetime. Providing the best care for our patients and community drives my work.
I love being part of a practice that provides such a high standard of care–Dr. Ostrom goes above and beyond for her patients, and it is refreshing to work in a progressive, positive, and supportive environment.
Rebekah Theriot, RN
Clinic Nurse
Born and raised in the Kenai area, I moved to Homer with my husband in 2003. We purchased a remote piece of land and steadily built our home while I worked on my collegiate studies and ran a private practice as a Birth Doula.
After a 1-year apprenticeship at a free-standing birth center, I found my calling to serve women during their childbearing years. Upon completion of nursing school I joined Katie Ostrom’s clinic.
I believe that the more women know about their own bodies the more they feel empowered to act. I also believe in the innate power of women to birth their babies and I enjoy supporting women in attaining their birth goals through education and support.
I am passionate about helping women and dedicated to learning and training. I feel that majority of women do not know that there is help out there. I find this area of nursing fascinating and enjoy seeing clients benefit from what we offer at our clinic that can often be life changing, and I love being part of that.
Jennifer Halpin, BSN, RN
Clinic Nurse – part time
I bring a passion for Outpatient nursing that builds trusting relationships that better our community and engage patients in maintaining optimal health.
I am a former travel nurse; this led me to Alaska and I am now honored to call Homer home.
Understanding the healthcare system can be very complex I aspire to assist patients with navigation in order to receive the best quality care while making informed decisions.
I love helping others! I had an amazing experience with Katie and staff as a patient I knew I’d want to work for KOMD in the future. Dream come true!
